MAIN LABOR INSPECTORATE INITIATES WORK ON A DECENTIVE LABOR PROJECT

The project initiative includes activities and topics identified as of particular relevance to the General Labor Inspectorate Executive Agency and the Norwegian Labor Inspectorate. Project activities focus on promoting decent working conditions for workers, fair competition between companies and a sustainable payment and well-being system, through the exchange of information, joint checks, sharing of good practices and close cooperation between the General Labor Inspectorate Executive Agency and the Labor Inspectorate of the Kingdom of Norway. Promoting decent work, including the fight against unregulated work, the achievement of equal rights, equal payment and equal treatment of all workers, is a key priority of common interest for both labor inspectorates. Under the project initiative, a tool for risk assessment of unregulated work will be developed, which will be integrated into the new website of the General Labor Inspectorate Executive Agency. The project initiative will further develop and strengthen the bilateral relationship between the General Labor Inspectorate Executive Agency and the Labor Inspectorate of the Kingdom of Norway, in line with the objectives of the bilateral agreement signed on 29 August 2017 in Trondheim, Norway. Specific cooperation activities between the two labor inspectorates will be defined in annual work programs and will include dialogue and continuous exchange of information, joint business reviews, information on national laws and regulations and exchange of experience and best practices.
